Kept in Coming and Going

From the going out to the coming in. From beginning to end. God doesn't keep watch over just the pretty part of the day — He keeps all of it. The moment you leave home not knowing what you'll find. The moment you return, tired, with more questions than answers.

This verse has a scope that brings comfort. Nothing falls outside God's watchfulness. The hard meeting, the choice you had to make in a hurry, the smile you gave when inside you wanted to cry — He saw all of it, He walked with you through it, He kept it.

There's something freeing in that. You don't have to carry the guarding of your own life. You don't have to keep an eye on every danger, control every outcome, hold every loose end together. There is Someone who does that with far greater skill and with a love that never runs out.

Today, come and go in peace. Kept. Cared for. Loved.
