Day 65Mornings with God

Even in the Valley

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me.

Psalm 23:4

Not every morning is born easy. Sometimes you wake up already carrying a weight — a longing, a situation with no way out in sight, a fear that returned in the night. The day feels like a valley before it even begins.

David knew this valley. He wasn't spared from pain. But he discovered something precious within it: You are with me. Not "you will be with me once I'm out of the valley." Now. Right here inside it. In the dark.

God's presence isn't a reward for when things get better. It's companionship for the whole road — including the darkest stretch. And when He is with you, fear loses its power. Not because the situation changed, but because you're no longer facing it alone.

So if this day feels like a valley, walk through it anyway. With Him at your side. Not running, not pretending everything's fine — but walking, steady, confident that the Shepherd doesn't abandon the sheep in the middle of the path.

Prayer

Father, even on the heaviest days, You are with me. Don't let me forget this when the path grows dark. Your company is my courage. Amen.
