Day 19Mornings with God

A New Creation

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

2 Corinthians 5:17

All things have become new.

Not "some things improved." Not "you're a little better than you were before." All things. New.

That's so big that we sometimes don't believe it's true for us. It works for others, but for me? With this past I have? With these choices I've made?

Yes. For you. With that past. With those choices.

The new creation isn't you being perfect. It's you with a new identity, a new beginning, a new direction. Like the morning that dawns after the night — it doesn't erase what happened yesterday, but it begins something different.

Every morning is a miniature of that truth. Yesterday stayed yesterday. This day doesn't have a single mistake of yours in it yet. You can choose to act differently, speak differently, react differently.

Not because you reformed yourself. But because you are in Christ — and He made you something genuinely new.

Believe this today while the day is still beginning.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for making me a new creation. Help me act like someone who truly is new — not like someone trying to be better, but like someone who has been transformed. Amen.
