Day 18Healing for the Heart

The Comfort That Becomes a Bridge

...that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

2 Corinthians 1:4

Today, a quiet promise for your pain: it will not be wasted. For now, let God comfort you — that's the focus. But know that, further down the road, the comfort you're receiving will become comfort for someone else. No one understands someone who has lost like someone who has also lost. No one embraces someone in the dark as truly as someone who has already crossed that valley. I'm not rushing you to "help others" now — you're still healing, and that's enough for today. But there is relief in knowing that all this pain isn't in vain. One day, without even trying, you'll tell someone, "I know how much it hurts, and it will pass too" — and your scar will become a bridge. God doesn't waste a single tear. From your wound, He will still bring comfort to many.

Prayer

Lord, for today, just comfort me. But, in Your time, turn my pain into a bridge for someone else. Let nothing I've been through be in vain. Amen.
