Day 84 — Strength for Mothers
The House the Wise Woman Builds
“Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.”
Proverbs 14:1
The house you're building isn't only about the walls. It's about the atmosphere you create inside them. About the words you choose. About how you treat your child when you're tired. About what you show, day by day, that you value.
"Buildeth" is a word of action. The wise woman doesn't build by accident — she chooses, every single day, to build. She chooses the encouraging word over the easy criticism. She chooses the hug before the scolding. She chooses to pray instead of yell (at least sometimes!).
You don't have to be perfect to be wise. Wisdom isn't the absence of mistakes — it's the willingness to learn, correct course, and keep going. It's saying sorry to your child when you got it wrong. It's starting over after a bad day without condemning yourself.
You are building a house of faith. Brick by brick, choice by choice. And God is with you in that building.
Prayer
Lord, may my words and attitudes build up my house. Give me wisdom to build what is good and lasting. Amen.
