Day 85 — Strength for Mothers
When You Doubt Your Legacy
“As for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.”
Joshua 24:15
Joshua said this before all the people of Israel — a public declaration, firm and unwavering. But I want you to notice something: he spoke for his own house, not for the whole nation. Every family had to make its own decision.
You also make this decision for your house. Not for the neighbor, not for the school, not for society — for your house. And that decision is revealed not in grand speeches, but in small, everyday choices.
When you doubt whether your legacy matters, remember this declaration. Day after day, through your actions, you are saying, "In this house, we serve the Lord." Sometimes with enthusiasm, sometimes with weariness, sometimes with nothing more than a murmured prayer before falling asleep. But you are saying it.
Your children are listening more than you realize. What they see in you is what they will carry into life. And what you live out — even imperfectly — is already a legacy.
Prayer
Father, may my house be marked by Your name. May my children grow up knowing that in this house, God is honored. Amen.
