Day 2The Proverbs 31 Woman

The fear of the Lord: where it all begins

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Proverbs 9:10

Of all the virtues of the woman in Proverbs 31, there's one that is the root of all the others — and the passage saves it for last, like someone keeping the best for the end: "a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." Everything she is springs from there. Fearing God isn't being afraid of Him; it's putting Him first, taking Him seriously, walking before Him with a surrendered heart. It's out of that reverence that the wisdom you long for — for your home, your children, your decisions — grows. You don't become a wise woman by collecting tips or trying harder. You become a wise woman by putting God at the center. Before you organize your schedule, before you solve your problems, start at the beginning: kneel your heart before Him. When God is the foundation, everything else finds its place.

Prayer

Father, I want to put You first — before tasks, before fears, before other people's opinions. Be the beginning of all my wisdom. Teach me to reverence You with my whole life. Amen.
