Day 22 — Goodnight, Lord
Rest, the Work Is in the Right Hands
“Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.”
Psalm 127:1
You give so much of yourself — to the home, to the family, to the work. And that's good. But there's relief in remembering that the outcome doesn't depend on your effort alone. The One who truly builds is the Lord. Your sweat matters, but it isn't what holds everything up; God is. That changes the way you sleep. You don't need to stay up all night trying to guarantee, through worry, what only God can sustain. Do your part with care during the day, and at night, hand the work over to the Builder. He tends the house while you rest. Let go of the feeling that everything will collapse if you stop. The building of your life is in hands far steadier than your own.
Prayer
Father, I did my part today, but I know it is You who builds. I place my home and my life in Your hands. I rest, because the work is Yours. Amen.
