Day 48Closer to God — 365 Days

Trust Is a Daily Choice

What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.

Psalm 56:3

Trust isn't a permanent achievement you make once and then it's done. It's a choice that renews itself. Every morning you wake up and the problem is still there, you have to choose again. And that's normal. That's faith lived out in reality.

The psalmist doesn't say fear will end. He says that when fear comes — and it will — he will trust. That's the structure of mature faith: not the absence of fear, but the decision to trust despite it. Again and again, every time fear tries to take the place that belongs to God.

If today you woke up carrying the weight of yesterday, you don't need mountain-moving faith right now. You need one step: "Lord, today I choose to trust." One day at a time, one choice at a time. And every small choice builds a trust that time cannot erase.

Prayer

Father, today I choose to trust You. Even afraid, even without understanding, even weary of waiting. Receive this choice as an act of faith. Amen.
