Day 49 — Closer to God — 365 Days
Let God Write the Story
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
Jeremiah 29:11
God knows the plans He has for you. Not the plans you have for yourself — His. And those plans are for prosperity, for a future, for hope. Even when you can't see any of that in the present moment.
It's tempting to snatch the pen back and take control of the story when everything seems stalled or wrong. To try to force a chapter, rewrite a verse, rush the ending. But when you do that, you risk missing what God was preparing precisely in the season when everything seemed still.
Trusting that God is writing your story isn't resignation. It's active faith. It's saying: I know the Author, and I know He is good. So even when I don't understand this chapter, I will stay in the story — because I know how it ends: in the hands of a God who has never failed in any of His plots.
Prayer
Lord, let me trust Your plot even when I don't understand the chapter I'm in. You know the plans You have for me, and they are good. I surrender to the Author of my story. Amen.
