Day 50Closer to God — 365 Days

He Cares for What You Can't Control

Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.

Proverbs 16:3

There's a peace that comes when you commit your works — your projects, your responsibilities, your efforts — to the Lord before you ever set out to do them. This isn't passivity: you'll still work, still give your best. But the outcome rests in His hands, not yours.

How many things do you carry because you believe that if you let go, everything will fall apart? Your job, your family, your health, your children's future. Those burdens are too heavy to be carried by you alone. But they're light for God.

Committing your works to the Lord means recognizing that you are a collaborator, not a controller — that success and provision come from Him. And when you loosen your grip, something remarkable happens: your thoughts are established. Your mind grows clearer. Your direction becomes sharper. Because you've stopped trying to carry what was always meant to be held by Him.

Prayer

God, I commit into Your hands everything I have done and attempted. May my thoughts be established in You, and may I work with the peace of one who knows the outcome belongs to You. Amen.
