Day 44Closer to God — 365 Days

Where Help Comes From

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth.

Psalm 121:1-2

When things get hard, our eyes naturally search for help. For the right people, for solutions, for any way out. And there's nothing wrong with seeking help — God uses people and means. But there is an anchor that needs to come before any search: "my help comes from the Lord."

That declaration changes the posture of the heart. When you know where your help comes from, you don't panic when human options run out. You don't despair when doors close. Because your hope isn't in the circumstances — it's in the One who is Lord over all of them.

Lift up your eyes today. Not to the problems, not to what's lacking — to Him. The same God who made the hills is the same One who walks beside you. He doesn't sleep, doesn't get distracted, doesn't arrive late. His help is certain, even when the hour feels uncertain.

Prayer

Lord, I lift up my eyes to You today. You are my help, my strength, my support. May I seek You first in every moment of need. Amen.
