Day 351Closer to God — 365 Days

The Legacy You Leave Behind

A good man leaveth an inheritance to his children's children: and the wealth of the sinner is laid up for the just.

Proverbs 13:22

Inheritance isn't only money. The most powerful legacy a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, or a friend can leave is invisible to the eye — but it lasts for generations.

It's the faith lived out day by day. It's the prayer your children saw you pray before the sun came up. It's the way you treated people with dignity. It's your posture in the face of adversity: not collapse, but anchoring in God.

You are leaving a legacy right now. Not when you're older, not when you have more time. Now, today, in this season.

What do you want the people around you to learn from watching your life? What kind of faith, love, and character do you want to pass on?

You have more influence than you realize. The way you live is writing something on the hearts of those who love you. May it be something beautiful, something true, something that points to God.

Prayer

Lord, may my life be a legacy of faith. May those who live close to me learn, through me, a little more about Your love. Amen.
