When the Table Is Set

In the middle of adversity, God sets a table. Not after the enemies leave — in their very presence. That detail changes everything. You don't have to wait for your problems to end before you can receive God's blessings. He provides in the midst of difficulty. He feeds you in the middle of the battle. He cares for you while the storm is still raging. Sometimes we focus so hard on what's around us — the pressures, the fears, the people who've hurt us — that we miss the table God has already prepared right in front of us. Pause today. Look at what God has already placed before you, even amid the troubles around you. Is there something good you're missing because you're staring at what hurts? The table is set. Sit down and eat.
