Day 294Closer to God — 365 Days

Multiplied From So Little

For thus saith the LORD God of Israel, The barrel of meal shall not waste, neither shall the cruse of oil fail, until the day that the LORD sendeth rain upon the earth.

1 Kings 17:14

The widow of Zarephath had only a little flour and a little oil — just enough for one last loaf of bread before she and her son would die. And it was with that very little that God performed a miracle that lasted. She obeyed first, trusted first — and God multiplied. Her story is for you too. When what you have seems insufficient, when your resources seem to be running out, when exhaustion sets in — God can do much with little. He doesn't need your abundance to act. He works with what's available when the heart is available. Whatever you have today, no matter how small it seems, place it in God's hands. He is the God who multiplies.

Prayer

Father, what I have seems small — but it's in Your hands. Do with it what I cannot do on my own. I trust that You multiply when I surrender it to You. Amen.
