Day 80 — Mornings with God
Morning by Morning, Declare
“To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,”
Psalm 92:2
Morning and night. The whole day framed by the remembrance of God. Starting by speaking of His goodness — and ending by acknowledging His faithfulness. What a beautiful way to live.
Declaring God's lovingkindness in the morning is more than a devotional practice. It's a choice about how you'll see your day. Before anything happens, you declare: God is good. Before coffee, before your phone, before the news — God is good.
And that isn't denial of reality. It's an anchor. When the day gets complicated — and it might — you'll have this fixed point to return to: this morning, I said He is good. And He still is.
God's lovingkindness doesn't depend on your day going well. It's an attribute of who He is, as constant as the sun that rose this morning. Declare it. Let it frame everything else.
Prayer
God, this morning I declare Your goodness. You are good. No matter what the day brings, that doesn't change. May I return to this truth whenever I need to. Amen.
