Day 68 — Mornings with God
Do Not Fear, For He Goes With You
“Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Joshua 1:9
Fear has a very convincing voice. It speaks of failure, of rejection, of losses that haven't even happened yet. And the more you listen, the more it grows. But there is an older, truer voice that says: do not fear.
God said this to Joshua before he led an entire nation into unknown territory. Before the battle, before the uncertainty, before anything that could go wrong. Do not fear, do not be dismayed — for I go with you.
Today you might be afraid of something. A new situation, a heavy responsibility, a conversation you've been putting off. The fear is real. But God's presence is even more real. He isn't cheering from a distance — He goes with you, wherever you go.
Tell fear that Someone greater is walking beside you. And take the next step.
Prayer
Lord, my heart trembles sometimes. But You said: do not fear. Today I choose to trust in Your company instead of giving in to fear. Go with me. Amen.
