Day 67 — Mornings with God
A Presence That Never Leaves
“Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?”
Psalm 139:7
There are moments when we feel so distant from God that it seems He has gone. Prayer sounds empty, the Bible feels closed from within, and the soul settles into a silence that aches. Have you ever felt this?
But Psalm 139 reveals something astonishing: there is no place beyond God's reach. Wherever you go — high or low, in the light or in the dark — He is there. Not as one who pursues, but as one who loves and does not abandon.
The feeling of distance is rarely the absence of God. It is, more often, the absence of our attention to Him. He hasn't moved away. We're the ones who looked the other way.
This morning is an invitation to turn your face back. He is here. He was there when you woke up, He was in your dreams, He is here now as you read these words. A presence that never leaves — not because you deserve it, but because that's how He loves.
Prayer
God, forgive me for the times I forgot You were there. Today I want to recognize You in every part of my day. You are a presence that never leaves. Amen.
