Day 63Mornings with God

Never Abandoned

I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.

Joshua 1:5

There's a word that wounds deeply: abandoned. Maybe you know it up close — someone who left, a situation that turned its back, a season when you felt invisible to the whole world. The pain of abandonment is real, and God doesn't minimize it.

But He makes a promise so firm it crosses generations: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. He said this to Joshua before one of the greatest journeys of the young man's life. And He says it to you too, here, this morning.

It's not a promise that everything will go the way you want. It's a promise of companionship. Of constant presence. That in the moment you feel most alone, He will be right there — not on the outside looking in, but within, holding you up.

You can carry this into your day. Not forsaken. Not forgotten. Accompanied by the One who has never failed to keep His word.

Prayer

God, thank You for not forsaking me. In the moments I feel alone, remind me of this promise. Your presence is my security. Amen.
