Day 62Mornings with God

Eyes Always Fixed on Him

I have set the LORD always before me: because he is at my right hand, I shall not be moved.

Psalm 16:8

There are days when everything seems to want to shift us off center. A poorly chosen word, a plan that didn't turn out as expected, a restless heart with no apparent reason. In those moments, the secret isn't strength — it's knowing where to look.

David learned this. He lived through flight, betrayal, wars, and deep sorrow. But he had one habit: he kept his eyes on the Lord. Not because the problems disappeared, but because when you look at God, something inside you steadies. You no longer have to hold everything up with your own hands.

Today, when the pressure builds — and it might — remember to turn your gaze. Not to the solution, not to what you should have done differently. To Him. Who is at your right hand. Who hasn't moved.

You may be shaken. But you will not fall.

Prayer

Father, help me keep my eyes on You throughout today. When I lose myself in worry, bring my heart back to Your presence. You are my steady ground. Amen.
