Day 61 — Mornings with God
He Goes Before You
“My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.”
Exodus 33:14
You don't know what you'll find today when you leave home. Maybe a difficult conversation, unexpected news, a weariness that arrived before the day even began. But there's a truth that changes everything: God goes before you. He doesn't send you out alone. He walks ahead, opens the way, already knows every turn of your day before you reach it.
Moses asked for this — God's presence — and the Lord promised: I will go, and I will give you rest. He didn't promise it would be easy. He promised you wouldn't be alone. And that in the midst of everything, there would be a place of rest inside you, because He is there.
Carry this with you now. Before checking your phone, before running through today's list — take a deep breath and say, "Lord, go before me. I trust in You."
That's the best start you could ever have.
Prayer
Lord, go before me today. Where I haven't yet arrived, You are already there. Prepare the way, soften what is hard, and give me the rest that only comes from Your presence. Amen.
