Day 60 — Mornings with God
The Morning as a Gift
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
We've reached Day 60. Sixty mornings. Sixty times you chose to begin the day with God before beginning with everything else. That matters — far more than it seems.
And today's verse speaks to exactly that: God's mercy is renewed every morning. It's no accident that this promise is tied to the morning — it's as if God were saying: every new beginning of the day is also a new beginning of grace. What's behind stays behind. What lies ahead comes with fresh mercies.
"Great is thy faithfulness." These words were written by someone in the midst of Jerusalem's destruction — in the deepest grief imaginable. And even there, that confession rose up. Not despite the pain, but from within it: God is faithful.
May this morning — and every morning to come — be received as a gift. With fresh mercies. With faithfulness that never fails. With the presence of a God who is here, with you, now.
Prayer
Father, thank You for the fresh mercies of this morning. For every day I woke up and got to meet You before the day began. Great is Your faithfulness — I've seen it in these past days, and I see it now. May I never stop seeking Your face in the morning. Amen.
