Day 49 — Mornings with God
Trust With All Your Heart
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
Proverbs 3:5
"With all your heart" — not with part of it, while the other part keeps calculating, controlling, trying to secure a backup plan. With all of it. That's a level of trust we rarely manage to sustain all the time, but one God invites us to practice.
"Lean not unto thine own understanding." This doesn't mean being naive or refusing to think. It means not making your own reasoning the final anchor. Because our understanding has limits — we see from one angle, with partial information, clouded at times by fears and desires we can't fully see past.
God sees everything. He knows the end from the beginning. And when you hand Him the leadership of your day — even without understanding it all, even without seeing the next step — He honors that trust.
This morning, is there something in your life you're still trying to control? What if you opened your hand and truly let it go?
Prayer
God, I want to trust You with all my heart today. Help me let go of what I'm holding onto too tightly. I choose Your understanding over my own. Amen.
