Day 47Mornings with God

The Voice That Guides

Thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it.

Isaiah 30:21

What a morning promise. A voice that says "this is the way" — not after you've already gone wrong, but beforehand, so you don't. A voice that guides at just the right moment.

Isaiah wrote this to a people who were used to relying on their own alliances, their own plans, their own wisdom. Who believed they could decide the way without consulting God. And the result was always the same: confusion, detour, loss.

God's voice isn't loud. Most of the time it's gentle — it arrives in the quiet hour of the morning, in a word from Scripture, in a peace that suddenly settles over an uncertain decision. But to hear that voice, you have to make room for it.

This morning is an invitation. Before you decide how your day will go, before you set off on the course you've already planned — ask. "Lord, which is the way?" And stay alert. The voice comes.

Prayer

Father, I want to hear Your voice before I begin. Speak to me through Your Word, through Your Spirit, through the peace that only You give. Guide my steps today. Amen.
