Day 45Mornings with God

Strength Enough

My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

Paul asked three times for God to remove a hardship from his life. Three times. And God's answer wasn't yes. It was something better: "My grace is sufficient for you."

Sometimes the day begins with an awareness of our own limitations. The sense that we aren't enough for what lies ahead of us. And that feeling can be frightening — or it can be the exact place where God steps in.

"My strength is made perfect in weakness." Not despite the weakness — in the weakness. When you reach the end of your own resources, that's when God's grace has room to show what it can do.

This doesn't glorify suffering. It's not a romanticizing of our limits. It's a real invitation: bring your weakness today to God and say, "Here is what I have. You complete what I lack." And His grace — sufficient, abundant, personal — will do exactly that.

Prayer

God, today I recognize that I am not enough on my own. But You are. May Your grace fill what I lack, and may I learn to rest in Your strength more than my own. Amen.
