Day 44Mornings with God

God Walks With You

The LORD, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee.

Deuteronomy 31:8

Moses said this to Joshua before he died — it's as if he were saying: I can't go with you, but God will. He goes ahead. He already knows the terrain you haven't seen yet. He knows what's waiting around the corner.

There is enormous comfort in knowing that God doesn't just accompany you — He goes ahead. The path that seems unknown to you has already been walked by Him. The problems you fear encountering have already been seen by God, and He is already there, working.

"He will not fail thee, neither forsake thee." Two assurances, back to back. This isn't temporary abandonment or occasional distance. It's constant presence, committed, unshakable.

This morning, as you head into the day, know this: you are not going alone. You go in the company of a God who has already gone ahead and has no intention of leaving you behind. You can go.

Prayer

Father, thank You for going ahead of me. May I trust the path even when I can't see what's up ahead. Knowing You are already there gives me peace. Amen.
