Day 36Mornings with God

I Can Do All Things

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Philippians 4:13

This phrase tends to show up on posters and coffee mugs, and it's easy to hear it and let it slide right by. But Paul wrote this from inside a prison. Not from a good day, not from a season of victories — from a place of restriction, uncertainty, and suffering.

"I can do all things" wasn't arrogance. It was experience. Paul had learned, in practice, that in any situation — abundance or scarcity, freedom or captivity — Christ supplied exactly what was needed to get through.

And what are you facing today? It might be something that feels too big for your strength. And maybe it truly is too big for your strength. But not too big for the strength that comes from Christ.

This morning, the promise isn't that you won't feel tired, or that everything will be easy. The promise is that you won't be left without resources. That the strength that sustained Paul in prison will sustain you through your day today. That changes everything.

Prayer

Christ, today I need Your strength more than my own. Teach me to depend on You in every task, every conversation, every difficult moment. I can do all things through You. Amen.
