Day 26 — Mornings with God
The Dawn That Sings
“They also that dwell in the uttermost parts are afraid at thy tokens: thou makest the outgoing of the morning and evening to rejoice.”
Psalm 65:8
The dawn itself is a song.
The sky slowly brightening. The first light touching the leaves. The bird that begins singing before anyone else is awake. All of it is praise — creation doing exactly what it was made to do.
God makes the dawn rejoice. He didn't create the morning as some automatic mechanism. He created it as a celebration.
And you wake up right in the middle of it. Not by accident. You're part of this creation that is rejoicing.
How many mornings do we pass without ever noticing the sky? Head down over the phone, mind already at work, eyes on the traffic. And the dawn happens right outside, unnoticed.
Today, if you can, look up at the sky. It might be through the window, it might be as you step outside, it might be just one second. Let the dawn reach you.
And remember that the God who made that sky sing also made you. And He is singing over you this morning.
Prayer
God, thank You for the dawn. Thank You for placing song even into creation. May my heart sing too today — not because everything is easy, but because You are good. Amen.
