Day 25Mornings with God

The Forgiveness That Sets You Free

Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

Psalm 103:2-4

Forget not. The psalmist knows how forgetful we can be.

We move through life gathering blessings, and so often we barely notice. But when something hurts, we don't forget. That one stays with us.

Today, this verse asks us to remember one specific benefit: forgiveness. Not the forgiveness you feel you've earned — but the forgiveness He gives freely, covering every iniquity, no matter its size or how many times it repeats.

Is there something you've been carrying this week that needs God's forgiveness? A harsh word, a wrong reaction, a choice you know wasn't good?

Don't carry it any longer. Not because it doesn't matter — but because it's already been paid for. God's forgiveness isn't conditional on how sorry you feel. He forgives. Period.

Remember that today. Let this benefit reach you this morning. And walk out lighter than you walked in.

Prayer

Lord, I remember Your forgiveness today. I don't want to carry what has already been laid on the cross. I receive this gift — the greatest of all — with gratitude and relief. Amen.
