Day 13Mornings with God

The Morning Prayer

My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.

Psalm 5:3

I will watch. That final word is powerful.

It's not just about presenting your prayer and walking away. It's about staying. It's about watching — being alert, looking to see what God will do with what you've handed over.

Prayer isn't a suggestion box where you drop off requests and leave, hoping they'll be answered someday. Prayer is conversation. It's relationship. And in every real relationship, you don't just speak — you also listen and observe.

How many times have you prayed for something and, when the answer came, didn't recognize it because you weren't watching?

The morning prayer makes you someone who walks through the day with open eyes. Attentive. Seeing God's hand in the details — in the parking spot that appeared, in the right word that came at the right time, in the strength that shouldn't have been there but was.

Watching is learning to see God in the ordinary. And it begins here, this morning, in this prayer.

Prayer

Lord, receive this morning's prayer. Don't let me walk through the day with my eyes closed. Teach me to watch — to recognize when You are moving in answer. Amen.
