Day 47 — Healing for the Heart
God Wipes Away the Tears
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”
Revelation 21:4
There's a promise kept for the end of all pain, and it's tender enough to be savored today. One day, God, with His own hands, will wipe every tear from your face. Not some — every tear. And there "will be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying," because everything that wounds will have passed away forever. This hope isn't an escape from reality; it's what sustains us inside it. The pain you feel today is real, but it has an expiration date on God's calendar. There's a day set when it ends — not covered up, not postponed, but ended. And there's something deeply intimate about this scene: God doesn't send an angel to wipe your face; He bends down to do it Himself. Today, when the tears come, remember they are not forever. A day is coming with none of them. And the One who will dry them is your own Father.
Prayer
Father, what comfort to know that one day You Yourself will wipe every tear of mine away. Sustain me until then. I wait for the day when there will be no more pain. Amen.
