God's Love Doesn't Change

In the middle of so much that has changed or been lost in your life, there's one thing that doesn't change: God's love for you. It's not a love that's here today and might end tomorrow, like so many human loves have taught you to fear. It's "everlasting love" — without beginning and without end, steady when everything else shakes. Maybe you've been loved conditionally: loved while you served, while you pleased, while you were useful. And so it's become hard to believe there's a love that remains even when you have nothing to offer. But God's love doesn't depend on your performance. He loved you before, loves you now — broken, weary, in recovery — and will love you after. You don't have to do anything to earn it or fear losing it. Today, rest in this one thing that will never change: you are loved with an everlasting love. Forever. Unconditionally. Without end.
