Day 43Healing for the Heart

Strength That Renews

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Isaiah 40:31

Have you noticed how the exhaustion of pain is different from every other kind? It's a weariness that comes from within, one that sleep doesn't fix. You wake up already tired. For this exhaustion, God offers something no human rest can give: renewed strength. But notice the condition — "those who wait on the Lord." Waiting here isn't crossing your arms; it's keeping your heart turned toward God while the recovery happens. And there's a beautiful progression in the verse: first wings to fly high, then strength to run, and finally — the hardest part — breath to keep walking day by day, "without fainting." Sometimes the greatest victory isn't flying, it's simply continuing to walk without collapsing. Today, if you're out of strength, don't try to manufacture it on your own. Wait on God, lean on Him, and let Him renew what's been drained. The strength you lack, He has in abundance.

Prayer

Lord, I am exhausted within. I wait on You. Renew my strength. Let me at least walk today without fainting, held safe in Your hand. Amen.
