Day 42 — Healing for the Heart
God Turns Everything to Good
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.”
Romans 8:28
Be careful not to hear this verse the wrong way. It doesn't say "everything is good" — loss isn't good, betrayal isn't good, illness isn't good. It says God makes all things, even the bad ones, "work together for good." It's like a recipe: on their own, some ingredients are bitter, sour, unbearable. But in the right cook's hands, they come together into something that, in the end, is good. God isn't the author of your pain, but He's a master at redeeming it. What the enemy meant to destroy you, God has the power to repurpose to shape you, deepen you, draw you closer to Him. You don't need to see how right now — you almost never can, in the middle of the pain. You just need to trust the One stirring the pot. Nothing in your life is wasted to God. Not even this pain. He will still bring good out of it.
Prayer
Lord, I don't understand how, but I believe You turn even this into good. Don't waste my pain; redeem it. I trust in Your power to remake everything. Amen.
