Day 27Healing for the Heart

God Will Make It Right for You

Avenge not yourselves... for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.

Romans 12:19

One of the heaviest parts of having been hurt is the feeling that nothing was done about it — that no one paid for what they did to you, that there was no justice. That weight of wanting to settle the score can consume you from the inside. Today, hear this relief: you can let it go, because the account isn't yours to settle. God says, 'Vengeance is mine.' Not because the injustice doesn't matter — it matters, deeply, to Him — but because He takes up that cause so you don't have to carry it. You don't have to be judge, prosecutor, and executioner of your own pain. You can hand over to God what was left unanswered and trust that He sees, He knows, and He tends to what is right. Letting go of the desire for revenge isn't letting someone off easy; it's trusting that God is better at this task than you could ever be. Rest: the case is in good hands.

Prayer

Lord, I hand over to You what was left without justice. Take from my heart the weight of wanting revenge. I trust that You see everything and do what is right. Amen.
