Day 24 — Healing for the Heart
Rest From Needing to Understand It All
“Be still, and know that I am God.”
Psalm 46:10
A wounded mind never stops. It spins, replays, reruns scenes, searches for someone to blame, rehearses conversations that will never happen. It's exhausting. Today, God calls you to something that seems simple and is one of the hardest things there is: to be still. It doesn't mean you need to solve everything or understand everything before you can rest. It means the opposite: stop trying to hold in your own hands what only God can sustain. "Be still, and know that I am God" is an invitation to let go of control and remember who is truly taking care of everything — and it isn't you. There is enormous relief in admitting: I don't need to carry the weight of the universe; that's His job. For a few minutes today, stop. Breathe. Let your mind settle into the arms of the God who is in control when you are not. He is God. You can rest.
Prayer
Lord, still my mind that won't stop. I let go of what I can't control. You are God, and I don't need to be. Give me Your rest. Amen.
