Day 22 — Healing for the Heart
He Carries You in His Arms
“He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.”
Isaiah 40:11
There are days when you simply can't walk — and that's okay. Not every day of healing is about moving forward; some are about being carried. God isn't only the shepherd who points to the road ahead; He's the one who picks up the lamb too tired to walk. When pain knocks you down and you don't have the strength for even one step, He gathers you into His arms and carries you. You don't need to be ashamed of the days when all you can do is exist. On those days, it isn't you holding on to faith — it's faith holding on to you. Let yourself be carried. There is a special tenderness from God reserved for wounded little lambs. Today, if you can't manage to walk, rest your head. The Shepherd carries you in His arms until you can walk again.
Prayer
Lord, today I can't manage to walk. Carry me in Your arms. I rest in Your embrace and let You carry me. Amen.
