Day 13 — Healing for the Heart
When the "Why" Has No Answer
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”
Isaiah 55:8
Maybe the question that keeps you up at night is simply: why? Why me, why now, why like this? And it's honest to say: that answer doesn't always come in a way that satisfies the heart. There are mysteries that stay unexplained on this side of life. But there is a rest that doesn't depend on understanding. God sees from a place you can't reach; what looks to you like a loose, meaningless thread, He sees within an embroidery that is still being made. You don't need to understand the path to trust the One who leads you along it. Trading the question "why did this happen?" for "God, stay with me in this" isn't giving up on thinking — it's resting from carrying a weight that was never yours to solve. There is peace in admitting: I don't understand, but I trust the One who does.
Prayer
Lord, I won't always understand, and it hurts not to understand. Help me trust You even without answers. Where explanations are missing, give me Your peace. Amen.
