Day 72Strength for Mothers

When the Promises Are Slow to Come

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

Isaiah 41:10

There are promises you've been waiting on for a long time. A child who has drifted from the faith. A family situation that never changes. A prayer that seems to go unanswered. And time passes, and you start to wonder, "Has God forgotten me?"

He has not forgotten.

This verse was given to a people who were in exile, far from home, waiting for a restoration that seemed impossible. And God said, "Fear not, for I am with you." He didn't say when things would get better. He said He would be present while they waited.

Sometimes the answer isn't an immediate solution — it's the presence of God in the middle of the waiting. And that presence changes everything. It transforms the way you wait: not with anxiety, but with confidence. Not with despair, but with faith that God is working, even when you cannot see it.

The promise will come. In God's timing, but it will come.

Prayer

Father, help me trust even when I don't see an answer. May Your presence be enough for me while I wait. Amen.
