Day 63 — Strength for Mothers
What You Cannot Control
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5
Have you ever lain awake trying to solve in your head a problem that has no solution? Replaying situations, imagining conversations, trying to anticipate what could go wrong with your children? It's exhausting. And deep down, you already know that kind of control is an illusion.
You can't control everything. You can't be everywhere. You can't protect your children from every hurt, every bad influence, every wrong choice they will one day want to make. And when that truth really sinks in, it's either freeing — or terrifying. It depends on where you place your trust.
"Commit thy way unto the Lord." Committing is not giving up. It's placing things into the hands of the One who has more power, more wisdom, and more love than you will ever have. God doesn't grow tired. He doesn't sleep. He doesn't forget. He watches over your child's heart even when you're not nearby.
Today, hand over one thing you've been gripping too tightly. Just one. And breathe.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to release what is beyond my control and to trust in Your care over my children. You are faithful. Amen.
