Day 51 — Strength for Mothers
New Things
“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Isaiah 43:18-19
God has a beautiful trait: He is not bound to the past. The mistakes you made as a mother — He can make something new out of them. The difficult season your family went through — He can open a path right through the middle of it. The relationship that grew cold, the child who pulled away, the little one who is suffering — none of that is the final word. God is always doing new things. Sometimes quietly, without you noticing right away. But He is. He makes ways where there seems to be no way out. He makes rivers where there is only drought. If you're looking back with regret, He invites you today to look forward with hope. What's coming isn't determined by what has already passed. It's determined by the God who makes all things new.
Prayer
Lord, may I not stay bound to the past. Help me see the new things You are doing, even when they're still small. Renew whatever needs renewing in my family. Amen.
