Day 50 — Strength for Mothers
Don't Compare Yourself
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
Philippians 4:6
Comparison is a disguised form of anxiety. When you compare your children to other people's children, your home to someone else's home, your routine to the perfect mother's routine on Instagram — you're stepping into a territory of anguish. That's not where God calls you. He calls you to prayer, to gratitude, to bringing Him what worries you instead of measuring yourself with someone else's ruler. Your family is not a competition. Your motherhood cannot be compared to anyone else's. You have unique children, a unique story, a specific measure of grace for your life. What God is doing in you and in your children has no equal. Stop looking sideways. Look up.
Prayer
Father, free me from the anxiety of comparison. May I learn to be grateful for who I am, for what I have, for the children You gave me. May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard my heart. Amen.
