Day 48 — Strength for Mothers
Free from Others' Approval
“For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ.”
Galatians 1:10
How many mothering decisions have you made with an eye on what others would think? How you breastfeed, how much screen time your child gets, what you serve for a snack, how you choose a school — there is so much judgment all around that sometimes it's hard to tell which voice in your head is yours and which belongs to everyone else. The Word sets you free from that. God didn't call you to please the moms in the group chat. He called you to be faithful to Him and loving toward your children. When your compass is the heart of God, you become far more free. Free to make decisions in peace, to get things wrong without public shame, to be the mother God called you to be — not the mother the Instagram feed demands.
Prayer
God, free me from the prison of needing approval. May Your voice be the most important one in my life as a mother. May I act out of real love, not out of fear of others' judgment. Amen.
