Day 3Strength for Mothers

The Shepherd Who Cares for You

He shall feed his flock like a shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young.

Isaiah 40:11

This verse is for you. God knows the ones who are nursing, the ones exhausted from caring, the ones whose steps are slower because they're carrying a child in their arms — or in their heart. He doesn't move on without you. He doesn't walk ahead and wait for you to catch up.

He leads you gently.

How many times have you felt like you were falling behind? Like everyone else was faster, more organized, more sure of themselves? Motherhood has a way of making us feel like that. As if the world won't wait, and we're always trying to catch something that keeps slipping away.

But the Shepherd knows the pace of the ewe that's nursing. He knows you can't run right now. And He doesn't abandon you for that — He gathers you up. He carries you close to His heart. He sustains you.

Today, instead of trying to run, breathe. The Lord is by your side. His pace adjusts to yours.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being a shepherd who knows me. May I stop trying to run alone — may I learn to walk at Your pace, secure in Your arms. Amen.
