Day 73 — Marriage Devotional
The Grace That Sustains in Failure
“My grace is sufficient for thee:”
2 Corinthians 12:9a
You will fail in your marriage. You already have — and you will again. Words that come out wrong, reactions you regret, moments when love gave way to ego. This isn't pessimism; it's honesty about what it means to be human.
But there is something called grace. God's grace that covers where you fail. Grace to ask forgiveness and to be forgiven. Grace to begin again after an ugly fight, after a bad day, after a season when the two of you weren't the best version of yourselves.
Marriage doesn't need perfection to survive. It needs grace — God's grace flowing into your heart and overflowing into your spouse. When you receive it from God, it becomes easier to offer it to the other.
Today, if you are carrying guilt over some failure in your marriage, let God's grace land there. It is real, it is enough, and it never expires.
Prayer
God, thank You for Your grace that covers my failures. Help me to truly receive it, and to let it flow into my marriage. Where I have wronged, heal. Where I have failed, restore. Your grace is enough. Amen.
