Day 63Marriage Devotional

When You Pass Through the Waters

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:

Isaiah 43:2

God didn't say if you pass through the waters. He said when. That changes everything. Going through difficulties in marriage isn't a lack of faith — it's part of life. What God promises is not that the waters won't exist, but that you won't be swept under.

Maybe you've already felt the current pulling at you. A season when the marriage felt too heavy, when conversations were hard, when love had to be a choice rather than a feeling. You made it through. Or you're going through it right now.

God's promise in this verse is intimate: "I will be with thee." Not "I'll watch from a distance" or "I'll help later." He steps into the water with you. He holds you up when your feet begin to slip.

When your marriage goes through hard seasons, hold on to this. God is with you in the midst of the difficulty, not waiting on the other side. And because He is there, you will make it through.

Prayer

God, thank You for not leaving us alone in the difficult waters. When we feel like we're sinking, remind us that You are here, holding us up. Give us courage to get through this together. Amen.
