Day 48 — Marriage Devotional
Dreaming Together
“Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”
Proverbs 29:18
When was the last time the two of you sat down and talked about dreams? Not bills, not the kids, not problems — dreams. What do you want to build together? Where do you want to go? What do you want your marriage to look like five, ten years from now? Marriages that age well are the ones that keep dreaming. Because a shared dream creates direction — and direction creates purpose — and purpose creates closeness. When you and your spouse share a common horizon, the difficulties along the way seem smaller because you know where you're headed. God is a God of vision. He wants your marriage not just to survive, but to advance. Dream together. Pray together about those dreams. And then walk.
Prayer
Lord, kindle in us the desire to dream together. May our marriage have direction and purpose. May the dreams You planted in each of us find a way to grow side by side. Amen.
