Day 41 — Peace in Place of Anxiety
His Mercies Are New Every Morning
“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”
Lamentations 3:22-23
Maybe you're carrying yesterday's weight into today — a failure, a reaction you wish you hadn't had, a day when anxiety won and you judged yourself for it. The anxious mind doesn't just fear the future; it also punishes itself over the past, replaying its mistakes in a courtroom that never adjourns. But the Word brings news that sets you free: God's mercies are new every morning. They aren't yesterday's leftovers; they're fresh, brand new, sized exactly for today. God doesn't charge interest on your failures or recycle old grace. With every sunrise, He offers a clean start, a blank page. You are not condemned to repeat your worst day forever. The fact that you woke up today is already proof that mercy has arrived again. "Great is thy faithfulness" — not because you were faithful, but because He is. Today, set down yesterday's weight. God has already decided not to hold it against you. Receive this morning's new mercy and begin again, unburdened.
Prayer
Father, I release yesterday's weight into Your hands. Thank You that today Your mercies are new. I begin again in Your faithfulness, which is great. Amen.
