Day 13Peace in Place of Anxiety

Put Down What Isn't Yours to Carry

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding;

Proverbs 3:5

Much of your anxiety doesn't come from the weight that's actually yours — it comes from the weight you borrowed. You carry your children's future as if their entire life depended on you alone. You carry outcomes that were never in your hands. You carry other people's opinions, everything that could go wrong, the control of things that were never yours to control. It's the exhaustion of someone who took God's place without having His shoulders. Today's Word offers you another way: trust with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. To "lean" means to rest your full weight on something. When you rest only on your own ability to predict and fix things, you collapse — because your understanding is good, but far too small to hold up the whole world. Today, make an honest distinction: what is truly your responsibility, and what can you only hand over to God? Do your part in peace, and give the rest back. You were never made to carry what belongs to Him.

Prayer

Father, show me what is mine to do and what is Yours to sustain. I lay down what is not mine to carry and trust in You with all my heart. Amen.
