Day 12 — Peace in Place of Anxiety
Think on What Is Good
“Whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just... if there be any virtue, think on these things.”
Philippians 4:8
Have you ever noticed that anxiety has favorites? It never reminds you of the times things went well. It files away the good days and keeps replaying the worst ones. The anxious mind is like a field: whatever you water grows. And without realizing it, you spend the day watering fear — feeding the worst-case scenario with hours of attention. Today's Word teaches you to swap the seed. It doesn't say "feel nothing"; it says "choose where to place your thoughts." Whatever is true, whatever is good, whatever is just, whatever holds some beauty — think on that. This isn't pretending problems don't exist; it's refusing to give them a throne they don't deserve. Today, try a simple exercise: for every worry that assaults your mind, recall one good and true thing — a kindness from God, a small blessing, a prayer already answered. Water that instead. Whatever gets your attention governs your day. Choose wisely what you water.
Prayer
Lord, teach me to watch over my thoughts. Take my mind off the worst-case scenario and fix it on what is good, true, and Yours. Renew my thinking. Amen.
